Can't get to CNN.com at all. I can get to CNN.com if I use IE. This problem just started. I have already removed/reinstalled Firefox today. It worked for a while and then when I shutdown/restarted, the issue reoccurred.

I called AT&T even though they're not my provider & the CSR stated someone else had called today & stated they had the same issue. AT&T wouldn't let me talk to tech support. I called my current provider & they wouldn't help since I could get onto the Internet.

All of a sudden, when I got off the phone w/my current provider, I restarted my PC (for the nth time) and VOILA!!!!! my problem is resolved. Someone did something but I'll never know.

Thanks for the assistance.

Hi,

What happens if you try typing "cnn.com" into the address bar at the top of the screen? Does it work?

When I clear the URL and type cnn.com, I get the same response of Not Found but the URL changes to "http://cgi.cnn.com/cgi-bin/redirect.ha"

It is supposed to redirect to http://www.cnn.com/

Does that full address work?

No, even if I use http://www.cnn.com/ the same response. Something I did notice that I didn't before is that if I open a new TAB and see my most frequently used website tiles, I still see the CNN.com tile but below it, it doesn't say CNN, it says AT&T GUI . Something tells me this has something to do with my issue.

I no longer have AT&T as my Internet provider.

Does it work if you use Google Translate with a random source language to access the website?

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.
