Needs file "7 zip" when trying to install. Is this right? Is something corrupt?
I'm trying to install Firefox. However it stalls partway through because it is looking for a file "7 zip". It can't find the file so everything aborts. Does anyone know what 7 zip is about, and if it supposed to be somewhere - where should it be located, and can it be replaced?
I have had to refresh my Win 8 because a number of programs stopped working, so I'm rebuilding my suite of regularly used software.

The Firefox installation program is a self extracting archive that is packed with the 7-ZIP program. You shouldn't notice this under normal conditions. If you see this then you may have a problem with security (anti-virus) software.
we recommend that you time to download and install the program installer to disable firewall and anti virus computer!
