Must move mouse to view any video and some actions (refresh). My desktop windows 7 + FF v35.0
My system has had this issue going back months/years. Read other threads which were old/dealt with previous FF versions.
The mouse movement issue occurs on my system viewing any video. It also manifests in certain actions like selecting refresh or other page actions. Unless/until you move the mouse the progress action that displays in the tab there is a delay/lack of action unless/until the mouse is moved.

also even if you have an existing security solution i would recommend a scan with malwarebytes & adwcleaner, since vendors like mcafee are often not that good in detecting minor adware and potentially unwanted programs that might not be classified as a virus. these are reputable tools and also get recommended in mozilla's knowledge base article about malware removal: Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware

hello tripletdad10, multiple other affected users have reported that this was an issue caused by malware on their pc. please run a full scan of your system with the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner (both these security tools are free).
Thanks for the quick reply. I have McAfee 13.6 installed so I assume it is checking for malware. Find it hard to believe its malware only because this has been a problem for years on this desktop; I assumed it was memory, disk drive was (up until 1 month ago) 95% full, etc...
How do I know the link you've provided is safe and will not introduce/install unwanted items to my pc?

Phillip - AdwCleaner appears to have solved the problem! I downloaded it from CNET (http://download.cnet.com/AdwCleaner/3055-7786_4-75851221.html?tag=pdl-redir ), took just a minute to download and about 15 min to run.
Found only 1 service (Service Deleted : MyWebSearchService) , but had dozens of files (in every Windows User's xxx\AppData\xxx folder, including Firefox profile extension).
Required 1 reboot after scan.
