Why does it take SO LONG to go to firefox from a link in an email?
When I try to go to Firefox from a link in an email on Mozilla, it takes forever and I get a please wait message.

Happens immediately for me.
Perhaps it is a combination of URL scanning by your anti virus and a slow machine. I see from your browser that your still using XP.
