All my Firefox 42.0 Add-ons are always active and other options are greyed out??? How can one fix this issue because I want to be able to give permission before a Add-on is active by selecting the "Ask to Activate" option!

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.

Delete the extensions.* files (e.g. extensions.json, extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created when required.
