Forget 5 minutes deleted some bookmarks and all history
I simply used the forget five minutes button to delete some history. It worked fine when firefox was open, but when I restarted Firefox, some bookmarks and all history was deleted. The cookies are untouched. I don't have restore points enabled, so my places file cannot be recovered using that. Any suggestions?

Run your Places Maintenance add-on. Any change?
You can try to restore the bookmarks from a compressed .jsonlz4 in the bookmarkbackups folder.
The name of a JSON bookmarks backup file includes a total item count (folders and separators included) and an hash value to prevent saving the same backup more than once.
- bookmarks-YYYY-MM-DD_<item count>_<hash>.jsonlz4.

That worked for some bookmarks, but would there any way to restore some of my history? Also, thanks for the response.
Bookmarks have a backup file. History doesn't.
These can't get your data back, but will help in the future.
These add-ons can be a great help by backing up and restoring Firefox
FEBE (Firefox Environment Backup Extension) {web link} FEBE allows you to quickly and easily backup your Firefox extensions, history, passwords, and more. In fact, it goes beyond just backing up -- It will actually rebuild your saved files individually into installable .xpi files. It will also make backups of files that you choose.
