inbox is full yet it is empty
I just installed TB (45.2.0) and created a new Account (it is an existing yahoo acct but it is new in this PC) and all files are 0kb in size yet TB pops up an Alert saying that Inbox is full. I have tried Compacting the Inbox and doing Inbox-Properties-Repair Folder with no success. I have 2 other PCs with seemingly the same setup, that work just fine...it is just this new one that has this error.
I have also gone as far as to copy the entire contents of the Profile...Inbox folder (complete with popstate.dat) into the new PC and it shows up just the same as the other PC but again, when getting messages, it complains that the Inbox is full.

Right click the folder and select properties. What is the size on disk? I am assuming almost nothing.
Possible Issue One. Anti virus locking the file while scanning it Thunderbird gets no access to write so the error handler assumes a lack of disk space or a full inbox. The easiest way to "check" is Restart the operating system in safe mode with Networking. This loads only the very basics needed to start your computer while enabling an Internet connection. Click on your operating system for instructions on how to start in safe mode: Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, OSX
Possible issue two. File has a read only attribute. check that all files and folders in the profile are not read only
Hi Matt,
Unfortunately, I had already checked that the inbox (0KB in size) was not read-only. So that was definitely not it.
I just tried the reboot in safe-mode with networking and it gave me the same result.
What is happening in slow-motion is that TB is goes and checks for new messages and it sees there are so it then the Alert pops up and the status bar still says "Checking Inbox for new messages".
I have Win10.
lets have a look at the error console. Ctrl+Shift+J Clear it. Attempt to get mail
What appears? (right click to copy stuff in there)
I tried that as well. Literally nothing happens.
When I first start TB the console looks like the attached image. I then clear it, I hit F5, it gives me the Alert and the error console remains empty and stays that way.
have you tried Thunderbird safe mode? The error log shows what are obviously add-on errors.
Restart with add-ons disabled from the help menu.
