How to block "photoslider" elements?

I have enough migraines already. I don't need any more migraines from ill-conceived pain-features on newspaper websites. Animation hurts.

A stylish script would be good, or a greasemonkey script, or better web standards so we don't always have to catch up with new accessibility fixes to block each new feature.

I should add: blocking Javascript does not block this type of pain/animation.

Hi MarjaE, have you considered asking on a site where people often request help from userscript developers? For example:

No, I haven't. This is supposed to be the Firefox support site, so this is the obvious place for Firefox accessibility questions.

Since I can't find any adequate documentation, I guess I just have to search for anim* in about:config and turn as much off as possible and hope it works...

I think most sliders are driven by JavaScript rather than animation-related style rules. If there are particular sites you would like an opinion on, you could post a link or two and point out where the problem slider is.
