Why does Firefox do strange things on this web page (https://blog.marai.me/2017/07/24/18-year-old-arrested-bkk-tsystems-e-ticket/) I have video of the problem..
Strange vertical stretching of the page when scrolling down which reverses when scrolling back up.

Doesn't happen in other browsers...

I notice things that are not displaying properly but think that has to do with the coding as there is a bunch of errors in the html page as per : https://validator.w3.org/nu/?doc=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.marai.me%2F2017%2F07%2F24%2F18-year-old-arrested-bkk-tsystems-e-ticket%2Fand the CSS needs checking also. CSS ERRORS : http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.marai.me%2F2017%2F07%2F24%2F18-year-old-arrested-bkk-tsystems-e-ticket%2F&profile=css3&usermedium=all&warning=1&vextwarning=&lang=en
If this is your page, it needs corrected for use on all browsers, if not your page and you frequently read you might want to notify the Webmaster.
I am not getting any vertical stretching but the columns are not sized properly to display the contents.
Note your Flash is out of date : https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, Win IE . . . .)
You have a wack of plug-ins/Extensions, try running in Safe Mode to see how things behave : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode Note TRY NO HARDWARE ACCELERATION.
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Thanks for the reply. Not my page so not that bothered. I assumed it was an error in the page code.
My Flash is always out of date (minor drawback of not using Micro$oft).
No further assistance needed.
Thanks again...
Update your Flash Player Note: Windows users should download the ActiveX for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).
Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the ActiveX.
Flash Player Version: 26.0.0.131
https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ Direct link scans current system and browser Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>
https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, Win IE . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only> +++++++++++++++++++ See if there are updates for your graphics drivers https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
- press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and remove the cookies from websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).
"Clear the cache":
- Options/Preferences -> Advanced -> Network -> Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove the cookies" from websites that cause problems.
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy -> "Use custom settings for history" -> Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
OpenDNS flags that site as distributing malware, so maybe web standards are the least of their problems.
