All of a sudden I have banners at the TOP of my web pages, after TRYING to clear another problem. I cleared out my cache/history/cookies, and now i keep getting banners at the TOP of the webpages. Not on the side, that pays for the internet, I know that. But now at the TOP of the page, I am getting ads for dating single women, ASPCA, perfumes, all sorts of things I have no desire to see, and it takes up space on my page. How do i block them?

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a good ad / pop-up blocker.

You may have ad/mal-ware. Further information can be found in this article; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware?cache=no

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
