firefox account doesn't synch

Dear,

I have created a firefox account to transfer my favorite, passwords and so on from my browser to a fresh install on it.

I was dismayed to not have firefox synch anything to my browser when I logged in my account on the fresh install. I have connected it to my laptop to test it and it synchs only new bookmarks I have made on my fresh install...

Could please help me to find out why it doesn't synch my stuff.

BTW, firefox did send me message that it was starting my synch on my old install before I wiped computer...

Sorry, Sync isn't intended to be used in that manner - i.e., as a backup medium.

You should have included that laptop in the Sync process before doing that fresh installation. Or you should have done a true backup of your Firefox data beforehand. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
