This problem has been going on for a couple years now. If I have the browser running for give or take 24 hrs straight, the next video I watch will have stutterin Bob in every episode intermittently. It happens regardless of plugins disabled or not, regardless of clearing the cash, regardless of restarting the browser, regardless of running ccleaner. Microsoft Edge does not have this problem when FF starts to act up so it is a browser specific issue. All my media players work fine all the time. The only fix is a full system reboot and then I'm good for about 24 hrs, rinse and repeat.

I'm running Win 10 latest updates. I use HDMI to feed my receiver both audio and video in a home theater set up. Any ideas? Why is this issue time dependent?

Thanks in advance

Separate Security Issue, please update your Flash 28.0 r0 by removing it with this tool : https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html If you use it Reinstall with Flash Player Version: 30.0.0.134 Current Version https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>

Hi, with all your blockers you have installed have you run Firefox in Safe Mode for more than the hours needed for the issue to appear ?

uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 61.0.1 with a Full Version Installer

Run to Test it please for more than the hours needed to have the issue.

If still a issue : Profile : Make a new one and test ...:

First off, wow man, you are very thorough! And too, thanks for the heads up on flash player, I don't need it very often but now it's all up to date. I would say I have tried everything you mentioned except for uninstall/reinstall FireFox. I was hoping the quantum update would fix the issue, but no joy.

It will run all day and all night no problem, but the very next morning you can pick a video from any website and it's guaranteed to stutter with that horrible digital dzdzdzd sound. This will take maybe a couple of few days to test out a fresh FF install, I'll let know.

Oh, it might be note worthy to mention I have the exact same plugins in Linux on the same PC and there is no problem, FF can run for days without issue. But audio is difficult in Linux so I use Microsoft for entertainment and Linux for backup.

Thanks again.

I've heard enough already to say that R and R (remove and reinstall) has done nothing to solve my issue. Dare I say the problem is now worse then before, I don't have 24 hrs now before the stutter begins.! Watching Amazon prime video and stutterin Bob is is the word!

Thanks for the help. But it is not an issue with:

Profile. Plugin. Website. Addon. Video type or format. Internet connection or speed. Flash player.

It is however an issue specific to FireFox and only FireFox. This seems like a buffering or cashing issue to me because sometimes the video will stutter while the audio is stuttering. As if not enough data is available to stream smoothly, and yet it's hit an miss. sometimes every 10 seconds it stutters, sometimes every 60 seconds. But when it starts it will not stop no matter what I do. I must reboot my system to fix the problem. That sounds like chash or buffer to me.
