Upon opening Foxfire, how do I get an active cursor in the search bar in the middle of my Duck/Duck browser screen? Currently, I have to mouse click the search

I open Foxfire and have Duck/ Duck as default. I want to enter my search criteria but always have to retype it after I realize that there is no active cursor on the search bar. See attached image.

Hi DennisBelmont, is the problem on a "new tab" page or on a "home" page?

If you are using an add-on to set your new tab page to DuckDuckGo:

Check the add-on's settings to see whether it can move your cursor from the address bar (the usual location for a new tab page) into the search box in the page. For example, with the New Tab Override extension, it's the "Focus" setting: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/new-tab-override/ (see screenshots).

Often you can access extension settings on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
  • type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return

In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions.

Then find the extension on the right side and look for either:

  • Options / Preferences button next to the Disable button
  • More link below the extension's name

Can you find that setting?

Opening page to duckduck go I have no issues where the cursor is waiting for input. Also your browser seems to have other issues as there so many blank spaces I think you have some some configuration issues here.

Thanks for the comments and assistance. I have found a solution that works for me and will allow me to use Foxfire going forward.
