All three of my windows 10 computers use Thunderbird. All have the problem of obtaining junk characters in e-mails sent and received. Screen shot attached. I have tried everything to no avail. Anyone have an idea?? Only happens in Thunderbird.

Solución elegida

This is a problem with ATT/Yahoo servers, and the workaround is to set the preference mail.strictly_mime to true.
