Currently, a third party cookie from krxd.net keeps reappearing in my cookie list even though I have blocked it, and if I delete it, it immediately re-appears. The only way to truly delete it is to disconnect from the internet before deleting. I have sometimes had the same problem with Google cookies.

Hi, when you made the question you had a chance to share information. I have no information to work with nor in your question have you supplied what is needed.

What Security Software are you using ? Why can you not block the site period in the Firewall ? What extensions are you running ?

Please run : https://www.malwarebytes.com/ Please add : https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/malwarebytes/ Note it can break sites but can turn off the 3rd party cookies for the site if you trust.

Please also run if not installed : https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/ https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/ghostery/

Remove any other ad blockers you have.

Note the blockers can break sites until you train UBlock by allowing things and moving the green up for the sites and using info from Ghostery. Mostly Videos get broken so need to learn which are media by following Ghostery allows.

Hello PKshadow,

Thanks for your reply. I am running Microsoft Security Essentials. I run a full Malwarebytes scan weekly. I have Ublock origin add-on but sometimes have to turn it off to do my work. I don't want to add any others because in my experience, the more add-ons you have the slower FF gets.

Blocking such sites in the firewall never occurred to me. I could certainly try it for krxd which seems to be purely a tracking cookie, but certainly wouldn't want to block google as a 3rd party cookie since so many sites use it for their site search engine.

I guess the issue is really, shouldn't Firefox block cookies from any site I have designated to be blocked? And why does it allow a cookie to regenerate instantly after I have deleted it? I wanted to report this as a bug, but couldn't find where to do it.
