webadvisor add-on extension disappears after shoot down
I am using window 7 but from what I can tell it is updated. I am also using the latest Firefox 62 and I just downloaded mcafee webadvisor form macafee website.
the problem: After I down load webadvisor it works fine on firefox I get the green buttons on my search and I see the webadvisor icon on my tool bar in firefox, I also can see the extension under my list of extension add ons. I can even quit firefox and restart firefox and everything seem to work fine.
However when I shut down the computer and restart firefox, webadvisor is gone. It is not in my tool bar, it is not in my add on extension list and for course the green button on my searches are not there. It is as if I never loaded weadvisor. I will down load it again and same thing happens work fine until I shut down my computer. It is as if the program is deleted when my computer is shutdown and restarted. I don't seem to have any other problems with my other add ons or extensions.
can anyone help?

Are you sure you're using Firefox 62? Your useragent says you are running Firefox 44.
Please ensure you're running the latest version. If you are, then follow the steps at Reset User Agent
yes I am running firefox 62. I am writing for a different computer. I have not issue from the Firefox 44 computer but I am also running window 10 on the Firefox 44 computer.

So I read the link. But need more help and directions. It seem like the thinking is that the problem is with the profile folder in firefox. The solution is to delete some profile and it will get "rebuilt again when I restart? I got to accessing my profile folder in firefox but don't know what to do beyond that.
In the link it said to
"Delete the extensions.* files (extensions.json, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed to reset the extensions registry. "
I see extensions.json but not extensions.ini, and extensions.sqlite. But I see favicons.sqlite
And I don't see compatibility.ini but I see compatibility
What files am I suppose to delete? And is it o.k. to delete it?? (because it will rebuilt when i restart???)
