can not send mail with third party app since update 60.5.2
This last thunderbird update (Version 60.5.2) has completely screwed me. I can not email invoices through QuickBooks any longer. It was working one minute and then on the next invoice I hit email and thunderbird window says it is installing updates first. Then when it opens it warns me a third party app is trying to send mail. Well no Duh that's the point. I keep clicking OK to approve and all that will happen now when I click email invoice in QuickBooks is that it opens the main thunderbird app but does not create the outgoing draft with the invoice attachment waiting for me to hit send. Nothing gets created anymore. After using this email for 20 years has now become useless. Unless there is some way to roll back this last update that screwed me and block all future updates? Is this possible?
Attached is picture of QuickBooks email button and the resulting thunderbird screen when you hit it. You are supposed to be taken to the composition as if you were sending an email and it pre-writes a paragraph for you and attaches an invoice. Does not do that anymore :(

The 64 bit version does exist, but it is not considered "release" quality. Until a recent change to the build system only a developer version of the 64 bit versions was made. The change saw a build made for all channels, daily, beta and release. But an official 64bit build has not been released. I use it, but it does have some bugs that only appear in the 64bit version.
Based on your question, I assume your issue was on a 32 bit version on Windows 64. Is the Windows version home, professional or something else? Do you have any other mail client installed on the system?

This doesn't solve my problem as I see no way to roll back an update or down grade
Did you see the reference to TB 60.5.1 in the link in my first reply? Install it over the existing version and disable automatic updates.
Yes Sir I did. And this is the page it shows. There is no installer for previous version that I am looking for?
I see, it is some kind of multi links you have to navigate to get to the file. But now I have new question, I have found the file, but I notice I am using 32 bit version all this time but I have 64 bit system. Can I install 64 bit version over the top of 32 without affecting all my emails and current setup? Thank you for the support. I may be getting somewhere now.

The standard Windows release is 32-bit, and this works fine on 64-bit Windows, e.g. the 32-bit installer for US English is here. The 64-bit Windows versions are currently for testing purposes only.
Thank you guys for the help! I will Reinstall 32 bit version again. I am no software guy when it comes to these matters for sure. I have been using Thunderbird for so many years, in part because I would hate to learn new email software, that it would be a shame to lose it. I would even pay a yearly subscription to keep this software alive if need be. Oh last thing, I'm sure you know by now but not only did QuickBooks stop working with that last update but also the 'Send to Email' function when you right click desktop icons. I'm sure rolling back will fix this too. And yes I am using Win10 Home 64 bit. Thanks again!
