Thunderbird Crashes Almost Daily
Thunderbird (68.9.0 64bit) on OSX (10.14.6 Mojave) crashes for me almost daily. I get a hang, Apple spinning pizza of death, and then nothing. I can leave it overnight and it will look the same way the next day. The only solution is to force quit and relaunch, and lose anything I was composing at the time. And yes, that's what I was doing today. I had two composed messages open, I sent one, I clicked to go to the other, and hang.
I've used Thunderbird on Windows for years and haven't had this problem. However, I don't believe it is a Windows/Mac thing, I think it is rather that I've saved all my mail locally on Windows 10 (38GB) TB 68.8.1, where on the Mac I'm asking for only the last two weeks of mail to be retained locally, and the rest can live up on the Google gmail IMAP server.
I'm happy to provide any troubleshooting or debugging help for any Mozilla developer who chooses to address this issue. I guess all the reports so far have only gone to Apple; I notice that there's no report listed in the Troubleshooting information as having gone to Mozilla.
Let me know if I can help anyone troubleshoot it, or point me to a more appropriate location to drop off my crash reports.

In the meantime, try running in OS X safe mode.
