I had to change my Google password and that meant I had to use the new password to open G-mail in Thunderbird. With your help I was able to change the password in Thunderbird and I am able to download e-mail to my inbox. But when I try to send an e-mail I get the following error message: Login to server smtp.gmail.com with (my username).gmail.com failed. I had changed the password for the only gmail account in password manager smtp://smtp.gmail.com. oauth://accounts.google.com that has my email address as the username changes the password every time the program is opened. Where do I enter a password specifically for smtp outgoing mail?

I will point you back to your old topic with the additional advice to check the authentication method for each outgoing server in Outgoing servers (SMTP). All Gmail should be set to oAuth for authentication.

Outgoing servers (SMTP) are in the list of accounts at the end, just keep looking down under "server settings" in account settings
