I can't find a way to enlarge the font size in menu or bookmarks toolbar, or the drop down menu and the bookmarks themselves. It is ridiculously miniscule and I have to use a magnifier to see it - I have Fuchs Dystrophy so my eyesight varies from day to day, but 16-18 size is usually ok. Can anyone point the way if any please?

Many thanks Teresa

You can set layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to 1.0 (default is -1) on the about:config page. Adjust its value in 0.1 or 0.05 steps (1.1 or 0.9) until icons or text looks right.

  • modifying layout.css.devPixelsPerPx affects user interface and webpages (global zoom)

Note that you need to use a positive value for this pref, a value above 1.0 enlarges and a value below 1.0 (0.6 to 0.95; do not go down too much) reduces.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can click the button to "Accept the Risk and Continue".

Firefox has a Zoom section in Options/Preferences to set the default zoom level for webpages.

  • Options/Preferences -> General -> Language and Appearance -> Zoom

Thank you so very much! It took a bit of Control F to find the correct line but... it's SO good to get an answer that solves a problem in one go - many thanks again. Teresa
