Can't connect to POP server since rwo days
Hi, I've exhaustively checked my server settings, and they are correct (nothing's changed on my end, or per Centurylink recs). But for the last two days, Centurylink servers are timing out. Thunderbird is connecting to the server, but the connection is timing out. I can't receive or send messages through Thunderbird, and have had to resort to webmail. Not getting any help from centurylink chat. Did anything change on the Thunderbird end of things?

In order for us to better investigate this issue, we'll need some more information.
Could you please do the following?
- Open the menu > Help > Troubleshooting Information, then click Copy text to Clipboard.
- Go to https://pastebin.com, paste the info from your Troubleshooting Information page, use the Create New Paste button to create a page containing your info, then copy the resulting URL (address) of the page created.
- Open a reply to this post, and paste the link to your troubleshooting information you just copied.
Next, we'll need you to provide answers to the following questions:
- Does Thunderbird work in Safe Mode?
- Do you use anti-virus and firewall software? What is the version?
- Who is the email provider?
- Who is the internet provider? In as much as, is it different to the email provider?
- What steps did you take right before this happened?
Does Thunderbird work in Safe Mode? NO Do you use anti-virus and firewall software? What is the version? Still using Win 7 Pro, so firewall is turned off. Using AVG Antivirus Free (current version). Who is the email provider? Centurylink (centurytel.net) Who is the internet provider? Have tried both centurylink DSL and Viasat What steps did you take right before this happened? Hit "check mail" button in normal fashion. I have my mail set to check manually because centurylink's spam filtering is so abysmal I check in webmail and delete spam there. Trying to teach a filter that can't learn, LOL.
Please also note I've checked through two channels (chat and twitter) with Centurylink help. Both agents admitted eventually that they are currently doing server maintenance, and the twitter agent said "it would probably be working by Wednesday." So, still not working (and they are pretty clueless, so I don't know if they will fix it but at least they issued me a ticket number), but I strongly suspect it's the centurylink POP server, not Mozilla.
Sorry for the typo in my title. Thanks.
