Message filtering issues after 102. update
Since the latest update I've had numerous problems. I have multiple accounts in 4 profiles. The behavior is similar in all profiles, but particularly in my oldest account. At first, the account showed no folders and even had issues downloading messages. This account had thousands of messages in the inbox and dozens of folders where messages are filtered. This also happened on a few of the other accounts across the profiles.
I ran the Repair Folder and that seemed to fix the message download and the folders showed up again. But, since that time the filtering continues to report missing folders and turning off filters. I've even repaired many of those folders but after I turn the filter back on the system will report the folder missing and turn the filter off again. This isn't happening for ALL filters, but it continues to add more filters to its reporting and deactivating.
Any idea what seems to be going on here? I've had a lot of issues with TB email this year. Lost a large db after restoring it from a backup even though the files exist and look to have a large file size.
Thanks for any feedback!
p.s. at one point I had over 21,000 messages in the main inbox. I deleted over 10,000 messages in one session but the total returned to over 21,000 a short while later. Many of the folders were cleaned out as well but didn't seem to have the problem of returning. Different issue though.

The problem may be related to the folder problem mentioned above. If you're moving messages to certain folders using a filter, the filter may have lost the destination folder information. Try to delete and re-create the affected filter(s).
Thanks, christ1. I have done the delete and recreate but still experience the issue with that particular filter. So, I haven't gone down the long list of filters that this is happening to. I'll update the destination on an existing filter, it will work for a bit, then fail again. Short of creating a new folder, moving all existing messages, then recreating the filter, this problem continues. I have created a few new folders and tested that avenue, but it still occurs.
It really feels like an indexing issue in the database. I just wonder if the new update is losing indexing on old folders. I've done all the maintenance elements I could find to fix the database, reindex, compress, etc..

Earlier versions of TB 102 had indeed that kind of problem, but this has been fixed since, and shouldn't happen anymore with a recent version. The latest release version currently is 102.3.3, so make sure you're up to date.
Since you apparently already spent quite some time to repair folders and fix filters the filter problems shouldn't happen anymore.
There's one filter problem I'm still seeing though. This happens when multiple messages have been received, the filter only moves one of them automatically (the last received) to the destination folder. All others have to be moved to the destination folder by manually running the filter - see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1778064
Is this what you're seeing?
I'm not seeing that particular issue. It is showing an error where a folder doesn't exist then it turn that particular filter off. The folders exist. It's not consistent.
I'm showing version 106.0 (64bit)

In case it isn't obvious, 106 is a beta version (latest beta currently is 107.0b1). The current release version is 102.4.0, available from https://www.thunderbird.net/

Thanks, Christ1. Somehow I'm back on 102.4.1 and everything seems to be working as normal.
