Windows Media Player 12 not working on Bloomberg site
When trying to watch video on Bloomberg.com, I get Bloomberg's pop up window that says: "If you have Windows Media Player installed, you may need to download the proper codecs from Microsoft."
I go the the Microsoft website, says I have the most current. Still nothing works.
I have Windows 7, Foxfire 3.6.3 and Windows Media Player 12. I also have install MediaPlayerConnectivity add-on (which I dont like, think I will remove it), and it does not help. Any ideas?
As a side note, when I use Internet Explorer, it works fine.
So something wrong with this website, Foxfire and Media Player ... I have no idea.

I installed the Windows Media Player plugin for Firefox (yes I know its Firefox, typo, sorry to all) via http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Using+the+Windows+Media+Player+plugin+with+Firefox?style_mode=inproduct
It solved the ability to watch video on Bloomberg website. However, when I go to other streaming websites to hear audio streams, instead of WMP opening in its own window, like it did before the plugin install, it opens within the webpage. I do not like that one bit.
Thus, I have the WMP for Firefox plugin disabled for all sites, unless I want to watch a video on Bloomberg, then I enable it.
It works, just a few steps, which is a pain. On well.
This is why chrome is my favorite browser...yet here i am months later with the same problem. WMP 12 wont play on windows 7. I sure hope Firefox 4.o has something for this. Otherwise Chrome will rule.
