Here are addition things you can do..

1) File a bug with Mozilla in their bugzilla tool, and submit crash stats to Mozilla so that problems can be resolved.

2) Secondly search for more help here from other users: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=38

3) If your tech savy, you can type "about:config" in the URL bar, click thru the scary warning and look for this:

dom.ipc.plugins.enabled

Then set it to false to turn off for now.

When are they going to fix it ? This has been going on for 2 days for me. I have removed the adobe flash player and reinstalled which did not help.

Please take a look at Adobe Flash plugin has crashed - Prevent it from happening again and increase the timeout as indicated in the knowledge base article.

I have had the same problem with firefox on facebook. It has happened for the last couple weeks. I can receive gifts under requests and every game I try crashes. I can usually read my homepage. this is getting really bad. I have cleared caches, downloaded what I am told to download to update, and cleared history and cookies and still happens , and have been told to get rid of firefox. what is the problem? and when I sent reports , nothing. and sent emails to all the games and told them and asked for help and never get responses. should I through the computer out the window, or delete you? I know they keep changing things on the games and that usually crashes stuff on mine, but all the time? this sucks. and I probably won't get a response from you either, but if this continues I will have to say, bye bye. It's ridiculous..before the crashes, it would take me over 2 hours to do a game and work on it. there was life before this and will be afterwards. it also happens on my regular email..not the crashing, but so slow and the download goes up and goes way down to almost nothing and keeps doing that.please help us all..thanks.

Okay, I don't have an answer to this annoying problem (Lord knows, I wish I did!) But I am having the same problem. And I keep seeing people say "Uninstall it and then reinstall it; it worked for me". Well....it hasn't for me!!!!! I have done that literally 6 times, I bet, and nothing!!! And then going to increase the timeout in the config.....I did that too! It also DID NOT work. It kinda helped for a little bit....it let me into Farmville for about 20 minutes (after taking about 10 minutes on the loading page) and then guess what happened? Yep....it crashed yet again. And before the Firefox update, and the Adobe 10.1 (BETA!!!!!!) update, all was working just fine. I don't appreciate this at all because I am about to rip my hair out trying to fix something that never should have happened in the first place! It should have been ready to release before thrusting it upon us.....there are SO many people having problems now, whereas before they didn't have any problems.

i am SICK of it...my crops are withering too...

Let's all drop firefox and go to myspace and see how it works. this is ridiculus and they never get back to us..yeah, gonna make sure everything works..mm.wouldn't that be nice..if they have too many things to fix that it takes more than a few people to fix, fire those suckers and get somebody that can do the job. I used to have a great time doing facebook, but as you said Trish..since the updating and crap, it is really bad. and right now I am updating my norton again to see if that helps.doubt it, think they are screwing around with our minds..we should show them.

more options

Bonnie - updating Norton does not help a bit...as I said they say that the problem is with adobe but i have another site that also requires adobe and it is fine! so has to be either facebook or firefox

Please take a look at The Adobe Flash plugin has crashed and increase the timeout as indicated in the knowledge base article. This helped me-see above in post JYOuyang 191 posts There's a link to the page in the original post. Thank you to the person who posted.

i am sorry corrinne - i wish i knew what you were saying...does it fix anything? and what are we trying to fix??

more options

Well, I guess it is reassuring that I am not the only one with the problem, but PLEASE FIX IT!!!! I can't play any of my games without the crash thing popping up. I also have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the flash player.

Actually, FireFox isn't the problem. FaceBook games (i.e. Treasure Isle, Frontiersville, Farmville, etc.) are so abysmally slow that Firefox waits for a response, doesn't see one in 10 seconds, and thinks that the Adobe Flash PlugIn has crashed.

JYOuyang posted the solution to this problem above, Thu 24 of Jun, 2010 19:08 PST. Go to the Knowledge Base article to which he graciously posted a link and follow the suggested configuration which will change the timeout from 10 to 30 seconds.

I just did this and it worked for me!
