Firefox sometimes randomly opens tabs and redirects to spam sites, what do I do?
This has happened only twice, but I am freaking out. The first tab that opened I simply exited out of the tab. I ran a scan with malwarebytes and it came out clean. Neither Avast or Comodo has alerted me of anything. Just now, it happened again. Only this time, the site wouldn't let me leave or exit out of the browser without clicking "ok" on a popup. I didn't know what to do. I should have just restarted my computer or something, but I clicked "ok" to make the popup go away. I ran another scan and it came out clean. Again, my anti-virus and firewall did not say anything. I am sure I make the situation worse by clicking on the popup, but nothing has happened as of yet. Is this some sort of rootkit that hijacks your browser?
