When entering a search, i was redirected to BigSeekPro search results. I removed it but it was automatically replaced by http://dealbd.mystart.com search results. The latter is still part of BigSeekPro (can see the redirect on my status bar).

Failed to remove it by trying:

Manage Search Engines (on Firefox toolbar) CC Cleaner Spybot Malwarebytes RegSeeker

Regseeker found 4 entries for BigSeekPro which i deleted but it has reappeared at:

SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main Start Page http://www.bigseekpro.com/webscout/{1D5752B1-F416-4023-9A2F-DA056ABC9E85}

Much appreciate someone's help.

I had exactly the same problem. The source is probably that you have installed some program which created that toolbar first, so probably you will have to deinstall that program first (from Add-Ons)

To recreate default search behavior of Firefox, for the search bar at top left its easy, restoring search in address bar is a little bit more difficult, please follow the instructions in following link:

Hi, Zhdophanti. Thanks for the response. Sorry for my slow response as my Inbox had gotten out of hand and i only saw it near the bottom of the pile now.

The problem was highly likely an Add-on but i couldn't figure out which one (and all mine are popular and in common use).

I did try several options but in the end uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, and re-adding Addon's was the solution.

"Hyperionics DB Toolbar" is the problem. Just disable/remove it then restart firefox cure the problem.
