All loading stops when the mouse is still. It only works if you continue to move the mouse around.

I can go to any webpage and if the page is loading and I'm not moving my mouse, the page doesn't load. If I move the mouse or type, it begins to load and continues to only as long as there is movement. I can go on youtube or another website where there is some other type of streaming animation or animated interactive feature, and if I'm not moving the mouse or typing constantly, the animation stalls. I would've figured it was flash-related if it wasn't happening on every type of page and website. Very odd. Likely solvable by restarting FF, but if there's a bug causing this issue it should be addressed.

I should also note that this issue comes and goes. It's not a constant issue, but very annoying when it arises. Also occasionally causes FF to hang or temporarily freeze up.

Only plugins or add-ons that we both have is Flash. I have Win7 Premium. So there's nothing that sticks out to me.

Other add-ons and plug-ins: NoScript, FireFTP, Norton IPS, Logitech Device Detector, Silverlight, Acrobat, iTunes App Detector, DivX Web Player, Facebook Plug-in, and Quicktime Plug-in.

Currently using Default theme.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See:

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins"

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

No fix yet tried all the steps mentioned here. Finally what helped me was downloading chrome even though i despise and hate it.

I also have this problem. I notice that if I kill the process and restart FF, it will behave fine for a while (most of the day), but eventually this behavior will return. I run a fair amount of tabs concurrently for work (about 16 at the moment). I thought that maybe it was some of my company sites causing issues with others, but I'm not so sure now. I'm on Win7 64bit, 8Gig, plenty of hard drive space, minimal amount of things running in my system tray. Add-ons include NoScript,Firebug, LastPass, ForceTLS, Xmarks, TorButton. Currently on FF version 7.0.1

I still have this problem from time to time. And yeah, restarting the browser temporarily takes care of the problem. I posted this back when I was running 4.0. I'm now running the Firefox 7 beta, and I still encounter this problem from time to time. Just as much as I did back then. And we've established the issue is not connected to any add-ons or special plugins. So no fix has ever really been released, to my knowledge. They just keep building on the same faulty code without fixing it. It's a minor inconvenience restarting FF, but it always seems to happen at the worst times. =\

Still having this problem. And now I'm noticing that it occasionally isn't even fixable by restarting FF. I've had two occasions where I had to restart my PC to get it to load correctly. Almost a year now, and no word of any solution other than changing browsers(how's that a solution?)
