Web pages and search facilities have become sluggish and erratic, and any user-select inputs on web pages (such as scroll facilites for looking at data tables, customer inut checkboxes, entry choice-boxes, tables etc, all flash or cycle rapidly and are pretty much unusable; page frames are all slightly oversize so the side and bottom scroll bars are just invisible; can't sroll to bottom of web pages and system just jitters/bounces near botom if the page is driven down. On search engines such as Google it is almost impossible to select the next page..,,,.but sometimes can just be done by holding down the mouse over the page number AND hitting enter (takes about 3 attempts). Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems. See Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile:

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

Try to disable hardware acceleration.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.
