Question I'm running FF 8.0 on Win7 Pro 64-bit. When I "check for updates", FF 8.0.1 is not installed. According to the About Firefox screen, I am currently running on the "release update channel".

Do I have to install the 8.0.1 update manually?

The update to Firefox 8.0.1 is not being "pushed" to Windows users. Firefox 8.0.1 was for a major problem for Java users with OSX (Mac); there was also a fix for a small number of Windows users with certain third-party Add-ons.

You can download the full installer at the link below, SAVE it to your Desktop, close Firefox after the download (Firefox button/File > Exit), run the installer.
