I downloaded Firefox 9. Now every time I open up the Firefox icon on my desk top it loads a Welcome to Firefox window and my Wildblue homepage window. My Wildblue had been previously set and I also re-set it as my homepage 1 day ago. How do I stop the Welcome to Firefox window from opening at the same time my homepage does.

My Wildblue homepage is set as my Homepage in both windows under options.

Please advise, it is driving me crazy and tak8ing up alot of time

Thank you,

M.B.

Hi cownselor,

You should look at this article about that specific issue and the article Preferences not saved. These should give you all the information you need!

If that doesn't work:

  1. Type about:config in the address bar
  2. Click I'll be careful, I promise if prompted
  3. In the Filter input field type startup
  4. Double click on startup.homepage_override_url
  5. Delete the text string and click OK
  6. Close Firefox and reopen the window to verify that it has worked.

Hopefully this helps!
