BACKING UP BOOKMARKS, MAINTAINING ORDER WHEN RESTORING.
I have a HUGE number of Bookmarks in my Firefox Browser (over 200), that I have taken a lot of time to sort.
I sort them by category, rather then alphabetically, e.g., 15 sports bookmarks, followed by 5 financial/business bookmarks, followed by 20 shopping bookmarks, etc, etc...
Is there a way I can back up my Firefox Bookmarks SO IF I NEED TO RESTORE THEM IN THE FUTURE I CAN MAINTAIN THE SORTED ORDER I DESCRIBE ABOVE, RATHER HAVING THEM RESTORED IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER ???
I use an external hard drive for back-up. (I tried the same thing 4 or 5 years ago, with a different computer, when I still used Internet Explorer. I was able to restore all my Internet Explorer Favorites, BUT WHEN I RESTORED THEM THEY ALL WERE RE-ORDERED ALPHABETICALLY INSTEAD OF IN THE ORDER I PREVIOUSLY HAD THEM IN.)
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

You can export the bookmarks in the Bookmarks Manager (Library).
- Firefox > Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import an Backup > Export Bookmarks to HTML

If you want to see the IE favorites in Firefox in the same order as in IE then you need to export the IE favorites in IE to an HTML file and import that file in Firefox.
You can export the Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file if you want a backup.
Note that importing an HTML backup will merge the imported bookmarks with the ones that are already present, so you need to remove unwanted duplicates.
Cor-el, Thank you very much. But how do I export the Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file? What exact steps do I take?
(I don't use Internet Explorer. My bookmarks are in my Firefox browser only.) Thanks, dgreco99
