using firefox 15.0.1 -- cant open links that are supposed to open email in Windows Live Mail.
In Windows Live Mail the links that are supposed to open emails don't work and I get an error window. Windows Live is already selected as my mailto handler. Links to webpages open fine but not email.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
(You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")
(2) Remove your live.com cookies (save any pending work first) using either of these while viewing a page on the site:
- Right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
- Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
Can you attach a screenshot?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.
Got it fixed, thanks.
I have the same problem with wlmail windows live mail (Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3505.0912)). The link to live.com is for Hotmail/Live.com email accounts (online webmail) Windows live mail came with last windows 7. I have windows 8 Pro (upgraded from windows 7 on asus 64bit x86 laptop. windows 8 pro, windows package contains the newly named windows essentials (which contains windows live mail) can use online or offline. I have attempted to remedy my symptoms using wlmail 2012 and firefox 18. As soon as I open wlmail with firefox already launched my screen resolution swaps to and fro 3 or 4 times before it settles on 640x480. I have to then rt-click desktop, screen resolution and adjust back to 1366x768. Windows updated, all Firefox plugins, adobe flash and avg2012 all up to date. Your thoughts/advise to this would be gratefully received
