I can't watch any videos using Adobe Flash anymore since yesterday. I have online classes and need to watch class videos. Youtube videos also don't work anymore. Using FF 24.0

I didn't catch anything wrong with your configuration, but have you tried to see if a addon is causing a issue in Firefox Safe Mode?

Thank you. It works in safe mode. When I reset FF to factory do I lose all my logins, bookmarks and auto forms?

If it happens again:

If you use extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can block content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.

If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.

Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit)

Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

OMG, thanks so much for this info. I've had problems so many times with Flash updates and Firefox I can't believe how simple this was to solve.
