Firefox is completely unresponsive.
Desktop computer was running slow and the mouse cursor was pausing and jumping, so I restored computer to a date three days earlier. When it rebooted, I could not longer get any response from Firefox. When I click the icon, I get a low, mean "blump" sound (the one you get when you can't do what you just tried to do). I tried accessing it from the start menu, but "blump". I tried to open in safe mode by holding down the shift key, but "blump". I even tried to delete out Firefox to reinstall, but it won't do anything in the "add/delete programs" area. I have internet access, because I'm sending and receiving emails. I'm also using my laptop to type this, so the internet is working fine.
Firefox worked just fine yesterday and without having added anything new to the system, Firefox just won't do anything. I cannot restore or anything like that, because I cannot access Firefox at all. Nothing happens when I try. Just "blump". What can I do?
Windows XP. Latest version of Firefox.

Hello,
Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a Clean reinstall. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps located at this link:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/uninstall-firefox-from-your-computer#os=winxp&browser=fx25
I have already tried to remove Firefox through Add/Delete programs, but nothing happens. I've also tried to remove Firefox through the Firefox Helper, but when I click on that, nothing happens. So, I don't know how to get rid of it so I can reinstall.
did you even follow the steps on the link i posted as in remove it using add remove programs and THEN delete your user data? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/uninstall-firefox-from-your-computer#w_removing-user-data-and-settings
Yes, I didn't mean Add/Delete programs, I meant I tried to remove it using Add/Remove programs. When I click "Remove" nothing happens.
I, assume your an administrator? But try running Add/Remove programs as an admin. to do so right click it and choose run as administrator
When I right-click the Add/Remove programs icon, the only options that come up are "open" and "create shortcut".
Humm, I have no idea then due to the fact that im on a mac! XD maybe some one esle can help
Thanks anyhow. Hopefully someone else has an idea.
