Suddenly Firefox will no longer open .doc/.docx files automatically in MS Word Starter (like from email attachment).

When I click on an attachment and select "Open," it downloads as before, and the green arrow in the upper right corner flashes as before, showing that the download is complete. But it won't actually open the file in my MS Word starter software, which it used to do just a week ago. If I click on the green link that says "Downloads are complete" and open up the separate Library window, I can double-click on the file there and it will open, but this is an extra step that didn't used to be necessary.

In some basic troubleshooting, I've found it doesn't make a difference if MS Word Starter is already open and active or not. I've also found that files open normally in MS Word Starter when I download them through my Chrome browser instead, so it seems to be a Firefox issue.
