I got a problem with a site,

http://plug.dj.com

At that site you can listen to music someone plays for you. Unfortunately i cant get onto that site because of the memory usage, if i open that site my memory usage will increase from 800mb ram to over 1.1gb ram and it will still increasing untill the browser crash.

How can i prevent that the browser crash>? Btw i would like to stay at that site, I closed it for a while :( When i close the site it will go back to my normal ram 800mb

Thanks, Tom

Try the Firefox SafeMode to see how it works there.
A troubleshooting mode, which disables most Add-ons.
Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Firefox SafeMode

  • You can open the Firefox 15.0+ SafeMode by holding the Shft key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
  • Or use the Help menu item, click on Restart with Add-ons Disabled... while Firefox is running.

To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut (without the Shft key) to open it again.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.

Or it might be caused by Hardware Acceleration.

When you figure out what is causing that, please let us know. It might help other user's who have that problem.

Is that already when you have the main plug.dj page opened or is there an active plugin-container process?

You can check for problems with current Flash plugin versions and try these:

  • disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
  • disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

At the main page plug.dj nothing happend with my memory usage, But when i join a lobby where you need flashplayer, my flashplayer increase like 15mb ram and my firefox' memory usage is going over the 1.1gb ram

So flashplayer + firefox = memory usage?

i already disabled hardware acceleration. i dont have RealPlayer Disable protected mode, i dont uderstand that??
