Firefox will open but w/ only File-drop-down-menu showing but I can only Close FF, nothing else. A FF Update Chking Compat. is on the screen/cannot close it.

Firefox will open but w/ only the Firefox-drop-down-menu showing. There is no window or other drop down menus, etc. I can only close it with Force Quit Applications window.

I cannot remove Firefox Update Checking Compatibility of Add-Ons box. It just spins.

You can try to fix this problem by reseting your firefox. For reseting instruction, please see this article. Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings If reseting doesn't fix your problem, try to uninstall your firefox and install it again
