Calendar does not sync
[Ubuntu 13.10/Thunderbird 24.4.0/Lightning 2.6.4/ownCloud 6.0.2]
Calendars does not sync properly;
Trying to Import an export of the .ics file from the server results in:
Status Code: 2147500037, The request cannot be processed.
Server Replied with 412
Manually adding an event in thunderbird IS synced to the server, but removes itself from thunderbird andter pressing "Syncronize"
Syncing works fine from an Android device leading me to think this is a Lightning issue.

Can you explain 'Trying to Import an export of the .ics file from the server' in more detail?
@christ1;
I've exported an .ics file from the web interface of the ownCloud Calendar module. I know I shouldn't have to do that (it should sync), but this was an attempt of "manually aligning" the calenders to see if that was the problem.
I have no idea about OC, so I'd suggest you ask in their forum.
I don't think it's OC, since syncing with my Android Phone works perfectly.
if it involves an ICS file sync is not what your doing.
Use caldav see http://doc.owncloud.org/server/6.0/user_manual/pim/calendar.html
Note there are a couple of bug related to owncloud. see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=owncloud%20caldav&list_id=9922846 I have not read them.
It is not an ICS file, it is CalDAV.
I've made a post on the owncloud forums (http://forum.owncloud.org/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=20839) But I have not made too much progress.
I get this error in the error console if this helps anybody;
Warning: Use of getAttributeNodeNS() is deprecated. Use getAttributeNS() instead. Source File: resource://calendar/modules/calXMLUtils.jsm Line: 32
Followed by:
[JavaScript Error: "[calCachedCalendar] replay action failed: null, uri=https://MYDOMAIN.TLD/owncloud/remote.php/caldav/calendars/USERNAME/schedule, result=2147500037, op=[xpconnect wrapped calIOperation]"]
This bug was fixed by disabling SPDY in webserver settings.
A confirmed Lightning bug; https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=992340
