Move your mouse to the top of the Firefox window, then right click. You will see a menu of the available toolbars. Select Customize. Look at the bottom of the right side window. Look for' Show / Hide Toolbars.

YOU SNEAK THIS CRAP IN WITH WARNING ABOUT SECURITY UPDATES

WHY CAN'T YOU LEAVE WELL ENOUGH ALONE

Couldn't agree more. Lot's and lots of people were surprised (and not in a good way) by all this. :(
As for your issue: I prsume you mean the add-on toolbar? If so, there is an simple add-on for FF29 on to bring the add-on bar back.
For info and download, see https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/the-addon-bar/

Many of us are using Classic Theme Restorer (Customize Australis)
Restore squared tabs, appmenu, add-ons bar, small button view and more on Australis UI (Windows/MacOSX/Linux + Fx 29+).

BTW

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.

If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected at http://input.mozilla.org/, where a team of people read it and gather data about the most common issues.

I appreciate the suggestion and I have installed it but I do not see it or how it has made any difference but its late - maybe in the morning I will see what I'm too tired to see tonight thanks.

I cannot seem to find my navigation tools either nor did I see them on the customize?

Hmmmm, sudden it seems after adding something else I now see the navigational arrows which is a huge help so i am grateful for that thanks.

Thanks, I was unaware of that resource.

What do you do, though, if a toolbar you want is not listed there? Is there a resource just to find useful toolbars, I'm not tech enough to know how this works, I just know I need them.

Thanks for the info.

Is it a toolbar that you created? I had one once, but v29 destroyed it.

With Classic Theme Restorer (Customize Australis), open the customize, go to the Show / Hide Toolbars, and turn on Additional Toolbar.

No, its not one I created. I hate these stupid updates because they inevitably change something that was just fine until I installed it. They ask for feedback but don't seem to listen - STOP screwing up stuff - surely security updates shouldn't mean deleting toolbars or other personal settings.
