Hi there being a Linux user Myself using XUbuntu 14.04 i can be sure that FireFox wont be interrupting with your Network connection as it is a browser have you tried connection directly to your home router via Ethernet and make sure you are connected to the Internet. if not try the Ubuntu Forums

Hi there being a Linux user Myself using XUbuntu 14.04 i can be sure that FireFox wont be interrupting with your Network connection as it is a browser have you tried connection directly to your home router via Ethernet and make sure you are connected to the Internet. if not try the Ubuntu Forums
