"search google for" context menu stuck

recently, my "search google for" context menu (right click on highlighted word) is stuck.

Essentially I always see an old search string in the context menu. so it's not updating with the new highlighted word.

This is happening on only one of my systems so far

Hmm, some questions:

  • Does the menu item actually conduct the correct search, or is the search itself broken?
  • If you right-click a link, does the menu show that it will search the link text or is that also broken?
  • Are there any other glitches with the menu?

Does the problem continue after exiting Firefox and starting it up again, or does it work again for a while before glitching?
