All Mail is a virtual folder that Gmail has, and it lets you see "all mail" in every other folder. I recommend you to not Synchronize it. Because TB will download every e-mail in every folder and then repeat the operation to download every e-mail in All Mail.

About the Local Folders. They do have Sent and Trash and every other needed folder. But they will show as you send e-mails or Trash them. And that will only happen if you are using any other Account that stores stuff in Local Folders (lets say you connect through POP and SMTP to your company's e-mail.

If you are not using anything else but Gmail just collapse Local Folders and forget about them. In fact I believe that for every account you create, TB will create a new set of folders for it. The Local Folders are a bit obsolete as they were the only folders available in TB time ago (like that you had one or many accounts and all mail downloaded there)

It still works if you want to create a copy of the IMAP e-mail in that folder to have a "physical"(?) copy in your computer and if your Gmail account is deleted you keep the copy you've made.
