Why does Firefox take forever to load my homepage? The recent update is awful.
So I keep getting this "TLS handshake" message and my homepage never loads. I have to close Firefox and reload 7-8 times before this is rectified. I have resorted to just using the god-awful Spartan to do my web browsing. Way to ruin a perfectly good browser Mozilla. I just don't understand how it is faster to have to reload a page over and over again. This the worst upgrade since Windows 10 was forced upon us.

Support Volunteers can't make changes to Firefox , but we can help you with troubleshooting your question.
Please uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
I did that PKshadow. Now it is even WORSE. I just want to get to my search engine without having to close and reopen Firefox multiple times. I even contacted the search engine support team (Startpage.com) and they recommend I discontinue using Firefox. I am really disappointed with this product. Guess I will go with sell my surfing info Chrome.
Try to disable IPv6 (check for other possible causes as well).
Did that cor-el. Still same issue.
