When in 'Private Browsing' I am unable to access my webmail when logged into my Telstra Account. I can however access my webmail account when I am not in PB?
My browsing and email access is provided by Telstra (Australia). If I am using the Mozilla Firefox Private Browsing facility and I log onto my Telstra account, I find that I can access all of the features within my Telstra account except for my Webmail account, which allows me to manage the setting for my emails. However, I do not have this problem if I am using Mozilla Firefox normal browser or any other browser, such as Google Chrome.
Is this a fault within the Private Browser software and can it be corrected.
Also, is it possible to set up so that when I open my browser in Firefox that it automatically opens in the Private Browser mode?
Regards,
Ted

Hi Ted, one of the features of Private Browsing mode is that Tracking Protection is automatically enabled. This will block content from other servers (other than the one listed in the address bar) if it's on a list of tracking servers. Sometimes this affects legitimate services.
In that case, you should see a "shield" icon toward the left end of the address bar. This article has more information on making exceptions for sites where you need to allow some tracking: What happened to Tracking Protection?.
Does that help with Telstra mail?

Yes, but then you can't have any "normal" windows. See: Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history -- "Can I set Firefox to always use Private Browsing?" section.
Whoops, the replies I made were for Windows, and not for Focus on iOS. Sorry about that. I haven't used Focus on iOS.

That's OK, I am using Windows7.
I followed your suggestions and can now access my Webmail while in Private Browsing.
Thanks a lot.
Ted.
