I use the rec/bookmarked folder to move to other folders ok.Now the tab gets re-entered at the same time in the rec/bookmarked folder, giving 3 bookmarks in all.

I have been using the (recently bookmarked) folder to click on bookmarks and drag a copy to another folder until today, which left the original bookmark still in the (rec/bookmarked) folder, which dropped of the folder when it was at the bottom of the folder as new bookmarks were added...This has worked fine, especially with the new folders created in close proximity to transfer to..Today i find when i do this operation it recreates the same bookmark again at the top of the (rec/bookmarked)folder,so now i have three bookmarks in total. If i delete the bookmark in the new, or any folder i put it in,it also deletes the new copy in the (rec/bookmarked) folder, leaving just the original bookmark.I have refreshed Fire Fox But all is the same.It is a nuisance as the facility is very helpful.Your help would be very much appreciated.Thank you Rodney Heard.

Hi Rodney, Recently Bookmarked is a list of search results from across your bookmarks. I didn't know that dragging from Recently Bookmarked to a specific location would duplicate the bookmark there, but apparently it does. I don't use that list, so I don't know how new this issue is.

Is the issue that you don't mind the bookmark duplicating in different bookmark folders, but you do not want to see it multiple times on the Recently Bookmarked list?

Or do you want to "move" rather than "copy" the bookmark to the new folder?

Hello, Thanks for your reply re my problem..Up to now i have dragged the bookmark i have just or recently made from the rec/bookmarked folder to an existing or new folder..This was fine as it left the original b/mark in the rec/b/marked folder, which as new b/marks were made would drop out of the list, leaving just the dragged copy b/mark in its new or existing folder..Now i find when i drag the bookmark copy to a new or existing folder it also enters a new additional copy in the rec/b/marked folder, which never happened before .this uses the rec/b/marked folder capacity twice as quick. So something is wrong and i would like it to work as it did, leaving just the original in the rec/b/marked folder list and the copy in its folder.....Thanks Rodney.

I don't think there are any settings for how that list works. You can provide feedback and propose feature changes on these channels, among others:
