Followed steps for error message. Deleted an item. Cannot re-do it. Please help!
Hi, as it happens every few months (why???), this time again all 4 of my Thunderbird accounts stopped sending/receiving! I contacted my servers. They had no blockage no other interference. I went to support.mozilla.org and followed their instructions:
"Tools >Options >Security panel >passwords >saved passwords....Click on the relevant account and then click Remove. Close and re-open Thunderbird. You will be prompted to enter a new password for the account."
I did see there my 4 hidden passwords but also my 4 email addresses. I wanted to edit 2 of them which were wrong. There was no edit. Only remove. I removed the 2 wrong ones but found no prompt to enter correct passwords and addresses. I then closed and re-opened Thunderbird but still didn't see where to correct these items.
I don't know how this could be the reason for my not sending/receiving since the emails were working ok in the past with this page just as I found it now...Anybody knows please? Thanx a lot!

In case it's important that you see the error messages:
Sending of username did not succeed. Mail server pop.rcn.com responded: Auth-Status: Invalid login or password
Then I clicked "OK" to re-enter but got this before I had the chance to re-enter:
Login to server pop.rcn.com failed.
And underneath 3 buttons: Retry Enter new password Cancel
Retry: Didn't work.
I then tried to, again, delete the email addy and password and re-enter them (when it let me), and.....it sent me to the original error message!!! Such a merry-go-round!!! :(
