System auto updated from 63.0.3 to 64.0 today. Since them most all tabs crash immediately. Some Mozilla tabs work, some crash. Tried clearly cache and rebooting, no help. Using IE to send this.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

No help. No dialog box appears when the tab crashed. Clicked on the start in safe mode link in your e-mail and that page opens. Follow the steps to restart in safe mode with add-ons disabled. Firefox restarts and goes to the same page. I go to open a new tab and the new tab crashes and so does the support page.

Let’s do a full clean re-install;

Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link}

Save the file. Then Close Firefox.

Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.

Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86) Note: Check Both Folders

Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-download-and-install-firefox-mac

Linux: Check your user manual. If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it. See Install Firefox on Linux; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-firefox-linux

If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder Firefox in your home directory. http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Look for, and remove any Mozilla or Firefox program folders. Do not remove the Mozilla Thunderbird folder if there is one.

Do Not remove any profile folders.

After rebooting the computer, run a registry scanner if you have one. Then run the installer. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ If there is a problem, start your Computer in safe mode and try again.

If only a tab crashes and not Firefox then there should be a button (link) to send a report about this crash on the page.

Reloading Firefox fixed problem. Looking at logs I did notice that several Windows updates and a Java upgrade all loaded around the same day. Don't know if they are related, but figured I would mention it for the record.

When the tabs crashed there was no button to send a report.

Seems I spoke too soon. Worked great after reload. Computer went to sleep overnight and next morning tabs crashing again. Rebooted and worked good until went to sleep and then woken up. Thinking of rolling back to version 63.0.3, or possibly seeing if version 65.0b4 works better. Any suggestions?
