Since version 80.1.2, about 99% of web pages simply do not load. They end up with a blank white page, or, if very "lucky", a partially loaded page that just gets completely stuck and never finishes. It was working fine yesterday. To add insult to injury, one of the pages that doesn't load at all is the support page! Sometimes a page will load, then another page will crash out, and the previous page that did load stops loading.

So nobody has to ask:

  • yes, it is at the latest version.
  • no, restarting Firefox doesn't help
  • no, clearing the cache doesn't help, or if it does, it helps briefly for one site and then everything is broken again

Basically, even though it's not likely helpful, the actual best description is: "Firefox is broken" since it can't be used for it's purported purpose.

So it looks like a bug in this version. Please file an issue on github.
