In config editor, change value of mail.identity.default.suppress_signature_separator to true

Well, there's something amiss in your setup. That means you cannot change font and many other settings. You need the Preferences option for many settings. My suggestion is to reinstall TB. I have no idea why that is missing.

Okasy, thank you. I will try that then. No wonder i couldn't find it, was driving me nuts.

I did a de-install and then downloaded the installation package and installed it... But the same issue persists..

Sorry - it's there now under the main menu!

Managed to change the setting now, and the annoying dashes are indeed gone. Thank you so much David!
