With the newest version of Thunderbird, there is no longer an option to save a .csv file of the Address Book. Yes, I have exported (=backup) my Thunderbird profile - but all the address book files are .sqlite files. .csv files are easy and simple to use - plus small to backup and/or copy. Why has this very simple and easy-to-use tool disappeared? I don't understand why? Nothing wrong with backing up a profile - but why get rid of just backing up an Address Book? The newest version doesn't stop a stand-along Calendar backup?

There is. Hover with the mouse over the address book to be exported, and click the three dots - Export. Select 'Comma Separated' as format.
